Colombo-Varanasi Flight launched by AI

Varanasi India Aug 5: A promise was fulfilled.Air India government owned airlines yesterday has started a flight between Varanasi and Colombo. Ashwani Lohani, Air India CMD, on Thursday has flagged off the inaugural flight.

Earlier Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to Srilanka has announced that we would make arrangements for Tamil Brothers and sisters in Srilanka to visit the holy place Kashi / Varanasi.

Air India has said that
* A brand new Airbus A-320 NEO aircraft would be used.
* The occupancy of the flight is 180-seater
* There would only be economy class and no Business class.
* Flight leaves Varanasi at 12.35 pm and reach Colombo at 3.20 pm.
* Flight would operate twice a week Friday and Sunday,

Finally, the Srilankan Pilgrims have hailed PM Modi for fulfilling his promise.
