Delhi HC notices to Arnab and Republic TV

Delhi Aug 4: A shock has been received.The Delhi High Court has issued notices to Arnab Goswami and his channel Republic TV.
The court has sought Journalists response based on Shashi Tharoor Congress MP's plea to refrain from misreporting his wife Sunanda Pushkar's death.

Tharoor in his petition has sought as RS 2 crore defamation on Goswami and also said that and asked the channel to respect his "right to silence". He has also said that "the TV channel has continued to engage in defaming and maligning him despite an assurance given in the court on May 29 by their counsel".



Congress Advocate has claimed that " the expression court must issue orders that the channel the expression murder of Sunanda Pushkar, as it has not been proved and it's for the police to prove that her death was murder and this also prejudices the trial.

However, Arnab's Advocate has claimed that "they have only placed the actual evidence and the police report while broadcasting the news and we have not called Shahsi Tharoor a murderer in any of the news broadcasts on the channel".
