Daman withdraws rakhi order

New Delhi, August 03: A controversial order has erupted here on Wednesday in Daman and Diu administration. It is heard that An uproar has forced the Daman and Diu administration to withdraw a controversial order asking women employees to tie rakhis to their male colleagues on Rakshabandhan.

From this aspect, The employees have to allege on the management

The Notification has been issued by Deputy Secretary (Personnel) Gurpreet Singh of the Union Territory said it has been decided by the administration to celebrate Rakshabandhan on August 7.

In the circular, it is said that "In this connection, all offices and departments shall remain open and celebrate the festival collectively at a suitable time wherein all the lady staff shall tie rakhi to their colleagues,"

However, it triggered a backlash, with employees and publicly criticizing it. The administration then decided to withdraw the circular.
