Governor sought President to hike IAS officers

New Delhi, Aug 03: The common Governor for the Telugu States Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, ESL Narasimhan met with President Ram Nath Kovind at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi here on Wednesday.

Narasimhan has arrived in Delhi on Wednesday as part of a one-day tour and met with Kovind in his residence. Later he met with Prime Minister Modi and DOPT Minister of State Jitendra Singh.

He has also sought to increase IAS service officers in Telangana. If there is no new allocation, it is reported that the current state of the service is to be examined by the promoter.

On the other hand, Narasimhan dismissed reports that he was being appointed as a national security officer.
