Arun Shourie praises China,BJP hits back

New Delhi July 29: Some controversial comments were made recently.Former Union Minister Arun Shourie has praised the Chinese leadership.

He has said that "If we compare the levels of our Tehsildar to the official of the similar cadre in China, state governments, both in India and China or their Politburo with our cabinet, the Chinese are much more qualified than our officers".

He has also said that "main challenge before the country is to elect leaders who have integrity, dedication, and competence".

Shourie's remarks have created a storm in political circles because currently there is a stand off between two countries.

However, BJP has condemned his remarks and has reminded that recently Chinese media has praised Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his leadership.
