Motor Vechile Bill delayed?

New Delhi July 28: A crucial Bill may be delayed.
The opposition Parties in Rajya Sabha are trying to block the Motor Vehicles Amendment Bill 2016.

Nitin Gadkari Union Road Transport Minister has said that all parties must submit their objections in the bill to the deputy Chairman of upper house by July 31 and if there is no consensus by Monday then
PJ Kurien (Deputy chairman) would decide to send the bill to select committee.

Minister has said that the bill which was passed by Lok Sabha is reformative and has many strict punishments for violating the rules and also would remove Inspector Raj.He has said that nearly 5 lakh accidents take place every year and nearly 1.5 lakh members die in the accidents.

He has also said that we are following a comprehensive strategy to reduce the number of accidents and he hoped that all parties would support the government by passing the bill as quickly as possible.
