Bypolls notification for 4 Assembly seats

New Delhi, July 27: The Election Commission today has announced by-polls to four assembly seats. The by-elections of following Assembly seats would be held on August 23.

* Bawana (Delhi)
* Panaji (Goa)
* Valpoi (Goa)
* Nandyal (Andhra Pradesh)

EC has said that Nominations would start on July 29,
August 5 is the last date for filing nominations,
August 9 is the last date of withdrawing from the electoral battle. The polling would take place on August 23
The counting will take place on August 28.

# Manohar Parrikar Goa CM would contest from Panaji because Siddharth Kuncalienkar (BJP) had recently resigned

# Valpoi seat in Goa fell vacant because sitting Congress MLA Vishwajeet Rane had resigned to join the BJP.

# Nandyal By poll is taking place because the sitting MLA Bhuma Nagi reddy from TDP had passed away following a cardiac arrest.
