New Delhi, July 27: An issue was discussed today. The Central Government today has told the Supreme Court that privacy is not a fundamental right, the government has also said that privacy is multifaceted. Attorney General

Currently, India's top Court has formed a nine-judge bench headed by Chief Justice J S Khehar, to decide whether Privacy is a Fundamental Right or not.

AG has said that there are many facets of privacy and "informational privacy" can never be a fundamental right. Earlier yesterday the government has said that "right to privacy could be a fundamental right, but it cannot be absolute".

However, the Judges have sought the government response whether the Right to Privacy can be a Fundamental Right or common law right.
