Kapu leader Mudragada house arrest may extend

Andhra Pradesh, East Godavari, July 27: As we know that, the Kapu leader and former state Minister Mudragada Padmanabham who has been placed under house arrest for 24 hrs at his residence in Kirlampudi here on Wednesday.

Now, The house arrest of Mudragada will continue to be so until permission is granted for his 'Chalo Amaravathi' padayatra.

It is learned that his house arrest will continue for one week up to August 2 under section 144, clause III.

AP Director General of Police N Sambasiva Rao spoke to media stating that the police bandobast will continue at the Kapu leader's residence and requested him to cooperate.

In this perspective, Mudragada has raised an argument with police officials over his house arrest for one week.

In response, police officials said that they are implementing the orders of the superiors.

DGP told the media persons that they are not willing to compromise on maintaining law and order which is the reason the police will be ready to arrest Mudragada if he violates the law.

According to the reports, around 1,190 people were taken into preventive custody across the state on Wednesday.
