CPI(M) demands ban of Private Armies

New Delhi July 27: A meeting was held yesterday.CPI(M) party yesterday has demanded that Centre must ban private armies such as cow protection committees and anti-Romeo squads.

The party has said that there is an atmosphere of Intolerance rising sharply in the country.The Left party has also demanded that Union Government must withdraw the notification of banning sale and purchase of cattle at animal markets for slaughter because it affects the livelihood of many people.

The party has also slammed the center for not taking any measures to prevent the suicides of farmers and has demanded that MSP must be made available for farmers. The above Remarks were made by Sitaram Yechury at a 3-day general meeting of the party which was concluded yesterday.
