Telugu states CMs sought hike in Assembly seats

New Delhi, July 26: The Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and on Tuesday met Home Minister Rajnath Singh individually in New Delhi.

Both held discussions on increasing the Assembly seats in the Telugu states to which the Home Minister informed that he is awaiting Prime Minister Narendra Modi's approval in this regard.

Rajnath Singh also said that BJP national president Amit Shah's nod is also needed to table the bill in the Parliament.

Both the Chief Ministers were in the National Capital to attend the oath taking ceremony of Ram Nath Kovind as the 14th President of India.
