Man sentenced to jail for 25 marriages and 145 children

Canada, July 26: A judgment was given recently. The Judges in Canada will soon sentence two persons to 5 years prison for practicing polygamy.

Sources say that Winston Blackmore aged 60, has married 25 women and has 145 children. while another person James Oler aged 53, has married to five women and his children details are unknown.

Currently, polygamy is banned in Canada. However Blackmore a religious leader has said that "I had done no mistake and I just simply followed my religious beliefs that call for 'celestial' marriages and had many children". He has also said that "I have never denied that I had married many wives and I feel guilty of praticising my religion".

Blackmore and Oler are members of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and currently, they reside in Bountiful, British Columbia.
