Mithali Raj gets huge popularity

Hyderabad, July 23: Indian women's team skipper Mithali Raj has had a stellar ICC Women's World Cup and she has admirably led the team to their second-ever World Cup final.

She has led in the tournament with 392 runs from eight matches, only behind Australia's Ellyse Perry by just 12 runs. The Skipper has the chance to finish the tournament as the leading scorer this edition. But she is already leading the chart when it comes to popularity.



Raj has dominated the Twitter Emoji Leaderboard - becoming the most mentioned captain emoji on Twitter during the tournament. Meanwhile, In a global first for women's sport on Twitter, ICC introduced a Twitter emoji for each of the team captains.
