Drugs seized worth of Rs. 300 crores

Srinagar, July 22: The Kashmir Police have seized 66 kg of heroin drugs along with brown sugar worth of Rs.300 crores from a truck that came to the Valley from Pakistan-administered Kashmir as part of the cross Line of Control trade.

Police said a driver identified as Syed Yusuf was arrested after authorities at the Salamabad trade facilitation center in Uri town recovered heroin worth crores hidden in trade goods boxes.

Nearly 66.5 kgs of heroin and brown sugar were seized by the Kashmir Police in those hidden trade boxes. Police said formalities connected with the arrest of the driver were being completed so that the accused is produced before a magistrate.
