Tarun appeared before SIT

Hyderabad, July 22: On the fourth day of the Drug trafficking investigation of Tollywood celebrities, actor Tarun has appeared before the Telangana excise department's Special Investigation Team (SIT).

Tarun arrived with his father's Chakrapani in the office of SIT.The officers are investigating Tarun in the fifth floor. As we know Tarun said that he had no connections with drug dealings.Tarun has a share in the pub, which started in 2009, titled 'ON'.

The accused celebrities were attending the pub opening ceremony.There was allegation raised that the 'ON'- the pub is associated with the drug dealings.Then he was sold the pub.



The star is among 12 Tollywood personalities, including actors, filmmakers, and producers, against whom the department had last week issued notices under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, asking them to appear before the SIT.

SIT sleuths had yesterday grilled actor Subbaraju for over 13 hours in connection with the cases registered after it busted the racket on July 2.

Prohibition and Excise Commissioner R V Chandravadan had said the investigators were expecting some "important clues" from Subbaraju's questioning. So far, the SIT has questioned film director Puri Jagannadh and cinematographer Shyam K Naidu besides Subbaraju.
