PM Modi discussed H1-B visa with Trump

New Delhi, July 21: A reply to a question was given yesterday. External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj in Rajyasabha yesterday has said that "Prime Minister Narendra Modi has discussed the spirit of H-1B visa with United states President Donald Trump during their recent meeting ".

She has also said that "Although the PM didn't mention the words 'H1-B' but made USA president agree on the crucial contribution of the Indian skilled professionals to the US economy. The above reply came when a question about H-1B visa restrictions imposed by the US was asked in Parliament yesterday.

Minister has also said that "Trump has admitted that the contribution of the Indian professionals was benefitting both the countries and if they (US) harm their (professionals') interests, then it will, in turn, affect them (US)."
