Telangana to give excellence awards

Hyderabad, July 21: The Telangana government has decided to give the rewards to the government employees of outstanding contribution in their respective fields and for excellence in public service with Incentive Awards on August 15.

Incentive Awards Committee headed by B.P.Acharya, The incentives awards given by CM KCR to encourage best employees based on their performance would hereafter be an annual exercise apart from Telangana Excellence awards.

Of the top, 12 employees at the State-level, eight would be drawn from districts and four from Secretariat /Head Office located in Hyderabad, one from each category. Overall 124 employees would get the incentive and top 12 of them would, in addition, get a cash award.

The cash awards would be in the range of Rs. 5 lakh, Rs. 3 lakh and Rs. 2 lakh for No.1, 2nd and 3rd ranks. Significantly, the cash awards are same across all categories of employees- from Class I to Class IV.

A web portal was developed for entire processing- inviting applications, selection of nominees for awards etc.

The applications can be uploaded on the State portal from July 21 to 31. All regular employees from Class IV onwards are eligible for incentive scheme. The process of selection will be done in a transparent and objective manner.
