e-Challan System in East Godavari

Andhra Pradesh, East Godavari, July 20: The e-challan system was launched by the Andhra Pradesh DGP Nanduri Sambasivarao in East Godavari district here on Thursday for effective dealing with the traffic violations

This system has implemented in order to end the present irregularities involving police personnel.

While addressing a press meeting at the SP's office here today, he said that the policy was in tune with the idea of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu who wanted an adaptation of latest technology in effective policing and minimizing the road accidents.

Under the E-challan system, the law enforcing authorities could have access to the motor vehicles register and also the driver's record.

How many times the vehicle owner or the driver had paid challans for traffic violations and the amount involved will be known by pressing a button.

Thus the frequent traffic violators could be detected easily and can be dealt with firmly.
