Bengaluru, July 20: India's pride may rise in future. The central Government is planning to host 2032 Olympic games. Sources say that the government is evaluating all the consequences of hosting the games.
Indian Olympic Association president N Ramachandran had told media last month that IOA would soon request permission from the government to bid for the 2032 Olympics and 2030 Asian Games.
Experts say that the Sports Ministry is not opposed to the move but it is carefully evaluating the burden the country has to bear because currently many countries are saddled in financial crisis after they have hosted Olympics.
Sources say that India has much time to plan because the bidding takes place in 2025 9 years before the event. Currently, Paris will be holding Olympics in 2024 and Los Angels in 2028 because there were no bidders for 34 Olympics so the committee has broken the tradition of not to let a city host the Games twice. Let's hope that the government evaluates all the pros and cons before taking a decision.
