Good news for Sabarimala visitors

Kerala, July 20: Here a good news for the Ayyappa devotees. The Kerala government is going to set up a Greenfield Air Port in 2,263 acres of the Cheruvally estate in Kanjirapally of Kottayam district.

The airport is nearly 48 km distance from Ayyappa Temple.The Officials said that the area is close to two national highways and is near to PWD road, making it easier for devotees to reach Sabarimala. The Kerala Cabinet meeting approved the construction of the airport here on Wednesday.

In February this year, the government decided to verify the location of the airport near Sabarimala and identified three areas. Finally, the Cheruvally Estate was selected for the construction of the airport.

As we know that, There are millions of pilgrims coming to Sabarimala between November and January. If the airport is available, Sabarimala's journey will be much easier.
