ACB action on Food Adulteration

Hyderabad, July 19: We all knew that The food adulteration has been going deadly in Telangana State, from this aspect the Anti-Corruption Department entered to curb the mafia.

Special attacks will be held for this purpose.

On 16th July, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao asked officials to intensify the investigation into the incidents of the illicit drug trade and adulteration of food items, which were unearthed recently.

ACB officials were arrested on Saturday by the state food researcher chief public engineer in Nashar while taking a bribe from a hotel owner to overturn collected samples.



As a part of this, special officers have been appointed in the five city governing bodies of the state. If anybody was asking for a bribe for food adulteration, he should immediately inform the officials, "said ACB officer Purna Chander Rao.

Special teams were also set up to provide corrupt officials with food in favor of food.

Earlier KCR meeting was held against the backdrop of busting of a high-end narcotics selling racket by the state Excise department.

Asking the officials to conduct a detailed investigation from all angles into such rackets, Rao told them not to spare anyone irrespective of his or her position.
