Karnataka Demands separate state flag,BJP hits back

Bengaluru July 19: A controversy has erupted recently. Karnataka state Government has demanded a separate state flag. However the opposition party has slammed the government for making such demands.

Bharatiya Janata Party has said that the Constitution does not permit states to have a separate flag. However CM has rebutted and said that we didn't make any such demand but we were asking whether there was any provision in the constitution which that prohibits the state from having its own flag.

Experts say that Congress has raised this issue because to avoid the imposition of Hindi all over the country and regional languages are neglected. but the BJP has said that we respect all languages and its the congress vote bank politics for appeasement of youth on the basis of language.
