Hyderabad, July 19: The SIT of the Telangana Excise department will start questioning some Tollywood personalities from today as a part of the probe into the illicit drug trade, days after it busted a racket selling high-end narcotics in the city.

The Excise department authorities have completed all the necessary arrangements.

A total of 12 actors has already issued notices to be present before them. From Wednesday to August 2, one will be judged per day. Details of Kelvin phone analysis revealed that 12 people of the film industry had been supplied based on the information revealed in the investigation.

The Excise department officials decided to inquire them to get more details. The authorities made arrangements for the investigation of film personalities.

"11 out of the 12 personalities have acknowledged to the notices while one actress is yet to respond to the notice. She will be served the notice again," the official said.

The fifth floor of the Abbariya headquarters was prepared for this. The entire video of the trial will be recorded. Based on their details, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) officials created a questionnaire.

This includes a number of factors starting from personal details of those who attend the inquiry. The entire trial is going to be based on this.

The Excise department officials come to the conclusion that the answers to these questions are answered. Further steps will be taken.

The investigators had said the gang catered to nearly 1,000 customers, including students of city-based schools and colleges, a film producer, senior officials of MNCs, besides some employees of IT firms in Cyberabad.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Sunday directed the police and excise officials to intensify the investigation into the case without the fear of any political interference.

He had asked the officials to spare none, even if that person is a politician or a Cabinet minister.
