Heavy Rains hits Telangana

Hyderabad, July 18: Heavy Rains has been hitting the Twin cities, With continuous rains the roads in the city are waterlogged.

North coastal and Telangana districts are receiving moderate to heavy rains.

Depression over the Bay of Bengal has led to heavy rains in Khammam and Bhadradri Kothahudem districts since Sunday. Several low-lying areas in Khammam and other places remained inundated on Monday as well. According to information, about 130 mm rainfall was received in Khammam and 188 mm in Bhadradri Kothagudem.

Rains lashed most parts of the city since morning. Vehicles moved at snail's pace in Ameerpet, SR Nagar, Erragadda, Moosapet and Punjagutta main roads during rush hour, with the situation being similar in Begumpet, Uppal, Paradise, Patny, LB Nagar, Tarnaka, Secunderabad, and other areas

Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) officials said that GHMC staff were undertaking necessary measures. Emergency teams have been deployed at crucial points to clear water-logging.
