Acid attack on woman for rejecting love proposal

Hyderabad, July 18: Here a gruesome incident has unveiled A youth was attacked with acid a woman in a pretext of loving her at Quthbullapur here on Monday night.

While coming to details, The victim Kabeera Begum(22), a resident of Dattatreya Nagar is working as a helper in a ceiling fan manufacturing company in Subash Nagar.

Accused Pradeep, a resident of Subash Nagar, who is working in the same company, fell in love with the girl. Kabeera refused his proposal for marriage but he continued to harass her to accept his love.

On Monday, the accused called her over the phone and requested her to come out of the house. When she came out, he picked a quarrel with her and after some time Pradeep took out the acid bottle from his pocket and threw it on Kabeera and ran away. She collapsed on the ground with severe burns.

Hearing her screams, her family came out of the house and rushed her to a hospital where doctors declared her condition to be critical.

The police registered a case and are trying to nab the accused.
