Venkaiah Naidu resigns as Cabinet Minister

New Delhi July 18: A minister has resigned. M Venkiah Naidu has submitted has resigned as union cabinet minister yesterday. He was holding MInistry of Housing, Urban Development, and poverty alleviation, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

Earlier he was chosen as the Vice President nominee by BJP parliamentary board headed by the party president Amit Shah. Experts say there was no requirement for him to resign as per constitution but he has chosen to resign.

Naidu said that I wanted to set a bench mark in political standard because I am supposed to uphold the Constitution as a Vice-president.

Let's hope that this his decision will inspire other so that moral values and integrity is maintained in politics.
