TS Brahmin Parishad to provide honorarium of Rs 2,500 for old men

Hyderabad, July 15: The Telangana Brahmin Samkshema Parishad (TBSP) has decided to provide an honorarium of Rs 2,500 to Brahmin Pandits aged more than 75 years.

The Parishad has also decided to provide financial assistance of Rs 15,000 towards funeral expenses to poor Brahmin families. The TBSP executive committee meeting held on Friday was presided over by its chairman and State government advisor KV Ramana Chary.

The executive committee has approved the release of Rs 2 crore to Roads and Buildings department for construction of Viprahita Brahmin Sadan at a site allotted to Telangana Brahmin Samkshema Parishad in Gopanapally.

The Parishad also decided to impart training in employable skills to unemployed Brahmin youth and help them secure placements.

The National Insurance Company Limited has been selected as one of the Agencies for taking up a Health Insurance Scheme to willing Brahmin family members who are in the age group of 18-60 years whose annual income is not more than Rs 4 lakh.

Rajya Sabha member Captain K Lakshmikantha Rao, Special Representative to TS government S Venugopala Chary, MLC Puranam Satish Kumar, TBSP member Suvarna Sulochana and administrator K Chandramohan, were also present.
