2011 World Cup Final fix?

Srilanka July 15: A Former Sri Lankan Skipper and politician Arjuna Ranatunga sought an investigation into the 2011 World Cup final defeat of his Sri Lanka country at Wankhede Stadium, in Mumbai. He claims to be in the commentary box during the India-Sri Lanka final.

He posted a video on his Facebook page in that, he told that "I can't disclose everything now but one day I will. An inquiry has been conducted. Players can't hide the dirt with their clean white cricketing cloth."

However, our players Goutham Gambhir and Ashish Nehra condemned the allegations of Ranatunga. While the batsman demanded Ranatunga to prove his allegations with the proofs, The pacer opined it wouldn't be in good taste if he questions Sri Lanka's 1996 World Cup victory.




Sri Lanka has won the toss and elected to batt first and scored 274 for the loss of 6 wickets in 50 Overs. India chased the target easily as Gambhir and Dhoni scored 90-plus each. Sri Lanka's poor bowling has been blamed for the defeat. But, None could ignore the fact that India has a strong batting line-up.
