Telangana to get 268 Dialysis centers soon

Hyderabad, July 15: Here is good news to the people, who are suffering from kidney failure diseases.

The 268 dialysis centers will be set up in 39 hospitals across the Telangana state.All objections are cleared for this proposal.

The Telangana Medical Services and Infrastructure Development Corporation (TMSIDC) has completed the tender process for purchasing the units.

The 'D Med Dialyse Hezmetlary As' company got eligibility for the establishment of equipment.

According to Aarogyasri statistics, The number of kidney failures has increased eight times in eight years.

These cases up to 500 in 2008-09, exceed the cases up to 4,000 in 2012-13 and not less than 6,000 from 2014-15.The Medical sources said there are 2,000 new cases were reported annually.

* The dialysis centers will be maintained by with public-private partnership.

* The Monitoring of the dialysis centers are divided into three clusters.

* The 3 clusters are as 13 hospitals are under the Gandhi hospital, 10 hospitals under the Osmania hospital and 16 hospitals under NIMS.

* When emergency care is needed for patients, The Kidney experts in the hospitals are giving advises and offers treatments also.

* These patients under Aarogysri scheme have been getting dialysis for free of cost.

* NIMS and Osmania's Hospitals will pay charges Rs 1415 for each dialysis process, Gandhi hospital will pay Rs.1375 to the maintaining company. Currently, the price is Rs.1250 for one dialysis process.

* The dialyzer that is used in dialysis is necessarily changed for every dialysis process.Due to this, dangerous hazards such as HIV, hepatitis-b,c diseases can not spread from one to another.

The Minister for Health Laxma Reddy said as, on Friday, around 10,000 kidneys affected patients were on dialysis. We had set up six centers in Nizamabad, Adilabad, Siddipet, and Mahbubnagar.

The health services in these dialysis centers would be available very soon, he said in a press release issued here on Friday.
