Kolkata, July 14: Bharatiya Janata Party MP Rupa Ganguly gave the controversial statement. On Friday (July 14th), Rupa Ganguly said that those who are living in different places across In the country who are supporting Mamata Banerjee's government of West Bengal, they should send a lady to Bengal.

Rupa claimed that any woman coming there without the consent of Mamata would be raped within 15 days. Rupa Ganguly said that those who support Mamta should send their daughter, sister, daughter-in-law or wife to Bengal, come to Bengal for 15 days and return without rape can tell me.

Rupa Ganguly is known for playing Draupadi in the television serial 'Mahabharat'. Ganguly had joined BJP in 2015. In April 2016, during the assembly elections, Rupa Ganguly was caught trying to slap a female supporter of Trinamool Congress on camera. Then the next month, allegedly the TMC supporters attacked her near Kolkata, in which he suffered injuries on his head.
