Everyone has the right to eat beef, says Union Minister

New Delhi, July 14: The Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale has stated that every person has the right to eat beef here on Friday.

Athawale heavily fired on Gau Rakshaks and said that "No one has the right to take law in his/her hands in the name of serving cows.The minister added that Gau Rakshaks should be awarded stringent punishment.

"You have the right to go to the police, but you can't take law into your own hands. Gou Rakshaks should be awarded stringent punishment," Athawale said.

"Everyone has the right to eat beef, turning man-eater in the name of Gou Raksha is also not right," Athawale added.

Some activists are taking the advantage of ban on buying and selling beef and brutally killing the persons for their personal grudges in the name of Gou rakshas.
