New Delhi, July 13: A history has been created. Indian women cricket player Mithali Raj has become the highest run-scorer in women's one-day internationals. Currently she is the team captain. Yesterday she has overcome the record of Charlotte Edwards 5992 runs.
Raj has created this record after she scored her 34 runs. She has achieved this record in 183rd ODI matches and played 164 innings - 16 less than former no 1. She has also become the first woman cricketer to 6000 runs in ODIS.
Many people have expressed their congratulations to her by posting tweets. Indian men's Cricket team Captain Virat Kohli has also congratulated her by posting a tweet.
Mithali has currently scored 6028 runs with the help of 5 centuries and 49 half-centuries. Let's hope that she continues her performance in future also.
