TS Govt launched the web portel for Power connections

Hyderabad, July 12: Here is good news for new industries, who are struggling to get the power connections.

The Telangana government has launched a web portal here on Tuesday to issue clearance certificates for industries seeking power connection of 650 volts and above.

Besides transparency, highest priority was given to speedy issuance of the certificate within 14 days after verification by the authorities concerned during the designing of the website.

Launching the web portal on Tuesday in the Secretariat, Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy said the website would facilitate the ease of doing the business industrial policy of the State government under TS-iPASS.

Officials will scrutinize the documents uploaded to the website by the industrialists and go for a field visit before issuing the certificate.

"The website was designed with a user-friendly interface. Entrepreneurs can track the status of their application on the newly launched website as well as receive an SMS report at regular intervals," he added.

Applicants can also pay the necessary fee online through the website. Each application with all details will be kept in the public domain on the website tsseig.cgg.gov

The Minister appreciated Central Good Governance (CGG) Director Rajendra Ninje for designing the web portal within 40 days.

Special Chief Secretary for Energy Ajay Mishra, Chief Vigilance Officer AG Ramana Prasad, and other officers were present.
