CPI fires on Central Govt

Khammam, July 11: Communist Party of India has been alleged on the Goods and service Taxes here on Monday. The party officials said that the Centre had introduced the Goods and Services Tax (GST) only to burden poor of the country and help the rich.

While Speaking at the review meeting in Khammam on Monday, CPI state joint secretary Kunamneni Sambashiva Rao alleged that the Centre had designed the GST to favor the corporate companies, industrialists, and businessmen in the country.

He Also said that "Except one or two products, the rates of all the goods and services increased enormously after introducing GST and it is becoming burden on the middle-class families and poor"

Stating that Modi government was favoring the rich, Kunamneni criticized that by encouraging communalism, the Modi government was trying to disturb the peaceful atmosphere of the country.
