AP students drowned in Germany

Andhra Pradesh, July 11: Here in a tragic incident, while two students are accidentally drowned in Duisburg, Germany on Sunday, who belongs to Andhra Pradesh of India.

While coming to details, The victims identified asMallikarjuna, 23, went to Germany two months ago to pursue an M.Tech degree at Duisburg University. Another one is Udaya Nagamani Shankar belonged to achhennapalem of West Godavari district. He also an engineering graduate died in a boat accident.

The accident happened at 11 p.m. Indian Standard Time and his family received the news at 4 am Monday. The devastated family was trying to contact the Duisburg authorities to get more details.

According to family members, as it was a Sunday, Mallikarjuna and his friends went for a boat ride on a lake. The boat accidentally flipped over, and he drowned while trying to save one of his friends.

Mallikarjuna is the third child of K Venkateswarlu, a farmer and ration shop dealer in Katavaripallem village in Kondapi Mandal. The bodies are expected to arrive at his native village in two days, the family said.
