AP CM about the reorganization of Assembly seats

Amaravati, July 11: The Telugu Desam Party chief and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu suggested that everyone should be ready for the reorganization of the assembly constituencies.

Chandrababu Naidu spoke at a TDP parliamentary party meeting in his office at the Secretariat on Monday. This meeting was held in the backdrop of the commencement of parliamentary meetings next week.

According to his information, The Centre has decided to complete the reorganization and it is possible that the bill will be present in the next parliamentary session. From this decision the state assembly seats will rise to 225, he added.

The Union Minister Sujana Chaudhary said, "There is no need for a constitutional amendment as it was previously thought and it would be enough to make an order with Parliament approval".

The Center wants to reorganize the Lok Sabha constituency unit rather than the district, in which each Lok Sabha constituency will have 9 Assembly seats. Some MPs said that it would be better if the process was done quickly, then some confusions will be cleared.
