Muktsar, July 11: A gang rape video has been going viral in WhatsApp, from this aspect the Police officials have been booked the accused persons here on Monday.

Police officers have been booked Jagjeet Singh alias Ravi Satnam Singh, Ramjeet Singh and Abhijeet Singh, all of Rkhala in Muktsar, for rape and under Sections of the Information Technology Act after they circulated the video of a woman they allegedly gang-raped on Wednesday.

Coming to details, The victim, employed with a clinic, reported the matter after she learned of the gang rape video.

The victim spoke with police and said that "I have to work in night shifts. On Wednesday, about midnight, the accused Jagjeet Kumar visited me at the clinic, claiming that my mother was ill. He offered me a lift but took me to an unknown place, where he and his three friends raped me. They also made a video," she alleged.

In response, ASI Veera Singh said, "The accused will be held soon."

A case has been registered under Sections 376-D (gangrape), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 367 of the Information Technology Act.
