Indian Army to get modern weapons

New Delhi, July 10: A good news for Indian army. The Government has fast-tracked the process of procuring 1.85 lakh high caliber guns. Earlier the army has rejected an indigenously-built assault rifles. The new guns procured would replace aging INSAS rifles.

Earlier the army has requested the government for supplying of the 7.62×51 mm guns. Currently, the Army faces a shortage of 65,000 rifles. Sources say that many manufacturers have submitted their designs and their bids.

The government is in final stages of examining their proposal and would soon give an order for suppliers. Let's hope that Indian army would be supplied with modern weapons very soon.
