Telangana woman sells her newborn girl

Khammam, July 09: In a shocking incident, a mother reportedly sold her newborn baby girl for Rs 5000 in Khammam district.Due to the Expenses of life.

According to the source's information, a woman delivered a baby girl in Khammam Government Hospital and with the help of the hospital staff, she sold her daughter to a couple from Bhadrachalam for Rs 5,000.

According to the ACP "The mother is saying that due to her poor economic condition she is unable to look after the baby. Hence, she sold the baby with the help of a sweeper for Rs 5,000."



Police who got the wind off the whole incident enquired the hospital authorities and investigating further.

The government is taking serious actions against such incidents, even though, they are still prevalent in the state.

The senior police officer said that The elderly woman who had bought the baby said she took the infant as she did not have a grand-daughter. She, however, immediately brought the baby back to the hospital and handed her over to her mother.
