Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi praises Telangana Schemes

Hyderabad, July 09: Minister of State for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that the idea of bringing the scheme under the name of 'Shady Shagoon' across the country, inspired by the ongoing Shadi Mubarak scheme in Telangana.

Telangana government was doing a tremendous job in improving the socio-economic conditions of minorities, said Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi here on Saturday.

The schemes introduced in Telangana for the welfare of minorities are ideal. He was the chief guest at the annual conference of the National Minorities Development and Finance Corporation (NMDFC) Saturday at the Marri Chenna Reddy Human Resources Development Corporation (MRRHRD) in Hyderabad.

Speaking at the annual meeting of National Minority Development and Finance Corporation at MCRHRD Institute, Naqvi said the State government's hard work to set up minority residential schools and colleges is a great milestone in the community development. “Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao's commitment to providing education is highly appreciated and he has a great vision," the Union Minister said.

Union Minister of State for Labour and Employment Bandaru Dattatreya also spoke on the occasion and promised the Centre's help for setting up various skill development centers.

Speaking on the occasion, Naqvi said that the scheme is being implemented under the name 'Garib Nawaz Sheikh Development' and will provide a three-month Certificate course for minorities.

Youngsters will be trained on GST and take a clarification on the pet owners. It has been revealed that this kind of center will be launched in Hyderabad for the first time.

Naqvi also praised the State government’s flagship program, Haritha Haram, to raise the green cover in the State. "For the protection of environment the Telangana government is doing a good job by involving all sections of people in the name of Haritha Haram," the Union minister said.
