Solar, Wind Power to be cheap by 2030

New Delhi, July 08: A study has suggested that the G20 alliance, including India, will become cheap in wind power and solar power generation by 2030. The Greenpeace company said in a statement after the G20 Summit in Germany.

The study was conducted by Finnish Lappeenranta University of Technology Institute for Greenpeace. All countries in the G-20 alliance have calculated the electricity prices.

The study, released on the day the G20 summit started in Hamburg (Germany), also found that in about half of the G20 countries, renewable energy has already been either cheaper or equal in price to electricity generated from coal or nuclear power plants since 2015.

Nearly half of the G-20s have been compromised to be less than renewable energy compared to coal or dangerous nuclear power plants since 2015.

By 2022, India had made significant progress in its aim of achieving the production capacity of 175 GW in the field of renewable energy. "The latest bids filed for the Bhadla Solar Power Project in Rajasthan have come down to record low levels. The bids were priced at Rs 2.44 per unit.
