Kodandaram accused Govt for focusing on the US

Hyderabad, July 08: Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) Chairman Prof M Kodandaram has been fired on the police officials and as well as the govt ahead of Drug Mafia in school.

While speaking to the media he said that the latest incident of drug usage by school children should be taken as a lesson if the government does not want to witness Punjab like the situation in the State.

Kodandaram said the government is using police force to monitor JAC leaders, "Instead of focusing on us, if the government had been using the police force properly, the rampant drug use in schools would not have taken place," said Kodandaram.

"It is shameful that the government was not taking steps to strengthen the institutions which can keep a check on the misuse of funds. No effort is made to strengthen Lokayukta, Human Rights Commission, RTI Commissioner etc," said Kodandaram.

The JAC chief would travel to Sircilla Rajanna district for three days starting on Saturday. He would take up road shows and participate in a public meeting on July 10.
