Man publicly critisizes his wife

Bhuvaneshwar, July 07: In a different case, The Village Committer in Angul district has been allegedly forced the husband of a ward member. The reason is They allegedly forced the husband of a ward member to beat gong as punishment because her wife didn't cast vote in favor of the Naib Sarpanch candidate selected by the committee during rural polls.

The incident has occurred on Thursday at Ragudiapada village of Badakera panchayat under Bantala police limits in Angul district. Later local police rescued the man, Dushmanta Sahu, 50, while he was beating gong at the village check.

According to the source's information, the village committee had decided to support a Naib Sarpanch candidate of their village. Even they had requested Dushmanta's ward member wife Mallika to vote for him during panchayat polls in February 2017.

But Mallika cast vote for another Naib Sarpanch candidate Bidyadhar Prusty who won the election.
After the incident, The Villagers were very critical about Dushmanta's family. They had summoned Dushmanta in a meeting and expressed their anger before him.

Here, Ward member's husband didn't listen to anything and came out of the meeting abruptly. At last, Finally, the irate committee members called a meeting on Wednesday and imposed fine of Rs 50,000 on the ward member family for scolding and not following the order of the villagers.

"When I expressed my inability to pay the fine, they suggested me to beat gong by roaming around the village and ask for villagers to forgive me. So I'm beating the gong now," said Dushmanta.
