SC halts IIT Counselling

New Delhi, July 7: Students future is in trouble. Supreme Court today has put a stay on the counseling of Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) across the country. The court has also ordered High Courts not to receive any writ petition relating to counseling and admissions to the IITs from today onwards.

The supreme court has fired on the exam conducting board for awarding bonus marks for students who appeared in the IIT-JEE (Advanced) 2017 examination. The court has issued such orders based on a PIL filed by JEE aspirants who couldn't secure ranks.

The petitioner has said that some students were given grace marks for attempting a correct answer for incorrect questions. Let's hope that court will soon reissue another order to restore the counseling so that students future is not spoilt.
