Ganja racket in Nizamabad

Nizamabad, July 07: Nizamabad Excise Police officials have been busted a ganja racket, which is found to be selling the contraband in the form of chocolates. The police officers arrested novelty shop owner Sharada Suryakanth and seized 48,000 worth ganja.

From the last few days, workers at Nizamabad market yard have been purchasing Rs 5 worth 'Madhu Munakka' chocolates, making them fall dizzy. Knowing about information, Nizamabad Excise police purchased these chocolates and sent it to the lab for testing, which led to the shocking revelations.

After receiving the lab reports, the police raided Padmavathi Novelty Stores at Shraddanand Gunj. Excise Deputy Commissioner David Ramakanth said some traders were attracting labor to narcotics such as ganja. He said that shop owner Suryakanth imported these chocolates from Rajasthan and added that a team would be sent there to know further details.
