GST is economic freedom of the country

Hyderabad, July 6: As we knew that, The GST has been rolled out from JULY 01, 2017, from this aspect many of the people and business man unaware of the New GST regime, from this the govt has been bringing the awareness on GST

The Principal Secretary (Commercial Tax and Excise) Somesh Kumar has said the GST would help all sections of society with simplified tax system of the country, and termed as the introduction of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) as economic freedom of the country.

Participating in an awareness program on the GST organized by the district commercial tax department here on Wednesday, he said that earlier there were more than 17 taxes in the country, but it was now only one tax.

There is no burden on taxpayers and consumers, he said and added that majority of products prices would come down with the GST.

Appealing the Chartered Accountants not to create panic among the tax-payers about the GST, he said that they were planning to make payment of GST simple even without a computer through the offline tool and also introduction of facilities at Mee Seva also.
