Peddapalli to become open defecation free soon

Telangana, Peddapalli, July 04: As the nation is moving towards the open defecation free (ODF), here Rural Development Commissioner Neetu Kumari Prasad has asked the officials to take all measures to declare entire Peddapalli district as open defecation free (ODF) at the earliest with the active participation of the beneficiaries.

At a meeting with the district officials in Peddapalli town on Monday, she said that 114 villages in the district had already been declared as ODF.

She instructed the officials to upload all the details of individual household latrine (IHHL) programs work to the official website.

She also reviewed the progress of various IHHLs in the district and asked the officials to expedite the completion of the work and upload photos etc.

She said that they had spent Rs. 7.88 crore and another Rs. 18.39 lakh would be released soon. In-charge Collector S. Prabhakar Reddy, DRDO Anjaiah and others were also present.
