Police arrests two for snatching gold chains

Telangana, Asifabad, July 04: Police officials have been arrested two persons for snatching gold chains from women in different parts of Kumram Bheem Asifabad and Mancherial districts, here on Monday.

A knife and dummy gun were recovered from them.

According to Kumram Bheem Asifabad Inspector Satheesh said the accused were identified as Denla Narasimhulu and Danaveni Srinivas of Mandamarri town in Mancherial district. They were scrap sellers.

He further added that The duo was detained when they tried to run away from an autorickshaw during a vehicle check by police in Asifabad.

On interrogation, the two confessed that they had been snatching gold ornaments from women in Asifabad, Kaghaznagar, Rebbena, Bellampalli and Tandur towns from the past couple of months.

The police officials have been revealed that they were committing the offence by threatening women with the knife and fake gun.
