Karthi in a police role

Hyderabad July 03: Cop dramas are nothing new to Telugu Cinema. But they are the most exciting thrillers that will engage the audience through the run-time with great action and well-executed cat and mouse games. Several fail in this exercise, but Karthi claims to make another comeback with a realistic Cop drama, 'Khakhee'.

Karthi earned a lot of reputation with his movies live Awara, Naa Peru Shiva at the box office too but his movies like Shakuni, Biriyani killed his market totally and Oopiri gave a new lease of life to the actor. His 'Kashmora' and 'Cheliyaa' released with good hype and garnered good openings as well. Even though both did not work as expected, Karthi is still a good force to reckon with in Telugu markets as well.

His Dheeran Adhigaram Ondru, directed by H. Vinod who made Sethuranga Vettai with Natarajan Subramaniam, A..Aa. Cinema Director of Photography, as the hero, became a big hit in Tamil and brought him a great recognition among the others. He made that movie taking a real life con, as inspiration and again for this cop drama too, he took some real incidents as inspiration.

The first look as garnered some positive response for Karthi's look and this film too will release simultaneously in both the languages in August last week or September first week at the earliest.
