Parrikar: Surgical strikes a reply to TV question?

Panaji, India July 2: A shocking revelation was made recently. Former Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar has revealed some striking details of surgical strikes that took place in last year. He said that the planning for the attacks in Pakistan Border were started in June 2015 after the NSCN-K ambushed an Army convoy in Manipur.

Former Cabinet Minister has said the above words in a gathering of industrialists yesterday. He said that DRDO developed Swathi Weapon Locating Radar was used to locate "firing units" of the Pakistani army.

He also said that the system was inducted into army officially after three months later and claimed that 40 firing units of the Pakistani army were destroyed because of the weapon used.Minister said that we have planned surgical strikes 15 months in advance after the Manipur killings.

He also said that "I felt insulted after a TV anchor asked Rajya Vardhan Singh Rathore a former EX Army chief a question would you have the courage and capability of doing the same on the western front after we have carried an attack on Indian-Myanmar Border when the terrorists have killed 18 soldiers in 2015".

Finally, he said that he was decided to give a strong reply and we planned everything in advance and we carried out the attacks when the time has come after Pakistan has killed Indian Soldiers in URI base camp last year.
